Ewa Loses Lead Early In Defeat
Ewa fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-5 loss to Waialae on Monday.
Waialae got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for Waialae.
Ewa notched four runs in the sixth inning. Bryce Onaga and Jarred Uyeda each had RBIs in the big inning.
Waialae scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Waialae came thanks to a single by Jordan Murai and by Kama Yamashiro.
Gavin Okada was the winning pitcher for Waialae. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out three.
Brandon Kameoka took the loss for Ewa. Kameoka went five innings, allowing eight runs on 12 hits, striking out three and walking one.
