Early Lead For Waialae Seals Fate For Manoa
Manoa fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 13-0 loss to Waialae on Sunday. Waialae scored on a home run by Mark Okano and a single by Kimo Wilinski in the first inning.
The Manoa struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Waialae, giving up 13 runs.
Waialae fired up the offense in the first inning. Waialae scored three runs when Okano homered.
A single by Jonathan Sakurai in the first inning was a positive for Manoa.
Okano led the Waialae to victory on the mound. Okano lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking one.
Reece Kiriu took the loss for Manoa. The bulldog went three innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and striking out one.
Ryan Sen and Sakurai each collected one hit to lead Manoa.
