Sheridan Early Lead Over McCully Sets Stage For Victory
An early lead helped Sheridan defeat McCully 15-4 on Thursday. Sheridan scored on a single by Josh Inaba in the first inning, a walk by Joey Maekawa in the first inning, a walk by Lanson Yamamoto in the first inning, a groundout by Darren Lau in the first inning, and a single by Blaine Hokama in the second inning.
Eric Lum was the winning pitcher for Sheridan. Lum surrendered three runs on two hits over six innings, striking out eight. Lau threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Matthew Kaneshiro took the loss for McCully. Kaneshiro lasted two innings, allowing three hits and seven runs.
Sheridan tallied eight hits. Jimmy De Carli and Lau all collected multiple hits for Sheridan. Lau and De Carli each managed two hits to lead Sheridan. Brandon Roberts led Sheridan with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with four stolen bases.
