Early Lead For Sheridan Seals Fate For McCully
McCully fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-0 loss to Sheridan on Sunday. Sheridan scored on a sacrifice fly by Noah Hata, an error, a sacrifice fly by Asher Ginoza, an error, and a walk by Jacob Maekawa in the first inning.
The McCully struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Sheridan, giving up ten runs.
Sheridan got things started in the first inning. Hata‘s sac fly scored one run for Sheridan.
A single by Rylen Yamamoto in the first inning was a positive for McCully.
Kainoa Rallita earned the win for Sheridan. Rallita went two innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out one and walking zero.
Richie Mariano took the loss for McCully. Mariano went one inning, allowing seven runs on three hits.
Aron Okamoto started the game for Sheridan. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking one
Chaz Kagimoto, Alex Shiroma, Kaimanuwai (Bubba) Akana, Yamamoto, and Jacob Wong each managed one hit to lead McCully.
Brandon Roberts went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Sheridan in hits. Sheridan was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Mason Asato made the most plays with five.
