Pearl City’s Okada throws 12 Ks 3 hit shutout against Kaneohe
Carson Okada pitched Pearl City to victory, striking out 12, giving up zero runs on three hits and one walk over the nine inning complete game shutout.
Seamus Yoneshige took the tough hard luck loss for Kaneohe. The bulldog lasted seven and a third innings, striking out 11. while allowing seven hits and four runs.
Kaneohe fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 4-0 loss to Pearl City on Sunday. Pearl City scored 3 runs in the 1st inning with Christopher Goya driving in the 1st run on a single, another run on a single by Austyn Nagamine, and an error in the first inning.
A double by Braxton Kihara in the third inning was a positive for Kaneohe.
Kihara, Kristopher Kahanu, and Brede Kochi all had one hit to lead Kaneohe.
Pearl City collected eight hits on the day. Wade Tamaru and Allen Komori all collected multiple hits for Pearl City. Pearl City didn’t commit a single error in the field. Kip Masuda had the most chances in the field with 12.
