Early Lead For Mililani Seals Fate For Ewa
Ewa fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-2 loss to Mililani on Thursday. Mililani scored on a single by Ryne Yamashiro, a double by Chase Wago, a single by Landon Hakkei, and a single by BJ Suehisa in the first inning.
Mililani got on the board in the first inning. Mililani scored one run when Yamashiro singled.
Jaydon Arakawa was the winning pitcher for Mililani. The ace surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out three. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Zach Gushiken, Bronson Ichimura, Reece Matsukawa, and Brennan Anzai all securing outs and ultimately the victory.
Brandon Kameoka took the loss for Ewa. The hurler allowed ten hits and four runs over five innings, striking out one.
