McCully Claims Blow-Out Victory Over Pearl City, 9-2
McCully asserted their will over Pearl City on their way to an easy 9-2 victory
McCully opened up scoring in the first inning. Ethan Javier hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.
McCully scored four runs in the third inning. Javier, Rylen Yamamoto, and Matt Ho all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Al Estes earned the victory on the hill for McCully. Estes went five innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out two. Kamalu Simeona threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen. Simeona recorded the last 12 outs to earn the save for McCully.
Brannon Liu took the loss for Pearl City. The bulldog allowed three hits and five runs over three innings, striking out one.
Mason Suga, Chaz Kagimoto, Andy Uehara, Javier, Shayne Nakata, Ho, and Yamamoto each managed one hit to lead McCully.
Jarin Ching went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Pearl City in hits.
