McCully Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Manoa

McCully snagged a late lead and defeated Manoa 7-6 on Sunday. The game was tied at three with McCully batting in the bottom of the sixth when Coy Ashimine drew a walk, scoring one run.

Bats blistered as McCully collected ten hits and Manoa tallied eight in the high-scoring game.

McCully fired up the offense in the first inning. McCully scored one run when Mason Suga singled.

McCully AJA 2021-22 pulled away for good with two runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Kaydenn Uyeda singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Ashimine drew a walk, scoring one run.

Manoa scored three runs in the ninth inning. The offensive firepower by Manoa was led by Russell Doi and Marcus Doi, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Richie Mariano was credited with the victory for McCully. The bulldog allowed three hits and three runs over four innings, striking out eight. Matt Ho threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Skyler Tengan took the loss for Manoa. Tengan lasted one-third of an inning, allowing one hit and one run while striking out one and walking one.

Reece Kiriu started the game for Manoa. The pitcher went four innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out four Ty Komoda started the game for McCully. Komoda surrendered three runs on three hits over two innings, striking out two and walking one

McCully tallied ten hits. Uyeda and Suga each had multiple hits for McCully. Suga and Uyeda all had two hits to lead McCully.

Manoa racked up eight hits. Aaren Umemoto and Ivan Fujii all managed multiple hits for Manoa.
