Despite Fewer Hits, Manoa Beats Waialae

• Bats were blistered on Tuesday, but Waialae couldn’t quite get the job done against Manoa and lost 11-10.
• Waialae lost despite out-hitting Manoa 13 to 11.
• Waialae opened up scoring in the first inning when AD Mols drew a walk, scoring one run.
• After Manoa scored one run in the top of the seventh, Waialae answered with one of their own. Manoa scored when Trey Saito reached on a dropped third strike. Waialae then answered when Kyle Watase singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
• Manoa took the lead for good with four runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Brent Sakurai drew a walk, scoring one run, Nicholas Tasaka singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, and Russell Doi singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
