Pearl City Defeats Waialae In A Blow-Out Victory
Pearl City had all cylinders firing on offense on Sunday, winning big over Waialae 10-2
In the second inning, Pearl City got their offense started. B Wada was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.
Pearl City notched four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a walk by Wada, a single by Tyler Tokunaga, and a double by Tanner Tokunaga.
Nolan Kometani was the winning pitcher for Pearl City. The bulldog lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking one. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Wada, Brannon Liu, Preston Yoshino, and Carson Okada all securing outs and ultimately the victory.
Micah Nakasone took the loss for Waialae. The bulldog lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out six.
Daven Hermosura started the game for Pearl City. The hurler surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out one and walking one
Pearl City collected 12 hits. Jarin Ching and Tokunaga all managed multiple hits for Pearl City. Tokunaga and Ching each managed two hits to lead Pearl City.
Waialae was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Tyler Nitahara had the most chances in the field with seven.
