Manoa Grabs Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Sheridan

• Manoa snagged a late lead and defeated Sheridan 13-10 on Sunday. The game was tied at ten with Manoa batting in the bottom of the seventh when Brent Sakurai hit a solo homer.
• Sakurai led Manoa to victory by driving in five runs. He went 3-for-6 at the plate. Sakurai drove in runs on a triple in the second, a single in the fourth, and a home run in the seventh.
• Sheridan fired up the offense in the first inning, when Austin Sloan induced Lanson Yamamoto to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
• In the bottom of the sixth inning, Manoa tied things up at ten when Trey Saito singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
• After Sheridan scored five runs in the top of the second, Manoa answered with five of their own. Sheridan scored when an error scored one run for Sheridan , Yamamoto singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Kai Yasuda singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Jason Takamoto was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, and Joey Maekawa was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Manoa then answered when Jonathan Yashiro drew a walk, scoring one run, Sakurai tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs, and an error scored one run for Manoa .
• Jr Valoroso pitched Manoa to victory. He went seven and a third innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out five and walking one.
• Aron Okamoto took the loss for Sheridan . He went two innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out two.
• Eric Lum started the game for Sheridan . He lasted six innings, allowing ten hits and ten runs while striking out eight Sloan started the game for Manoa . He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and nine runs while striking out three
• Manoa socked one home run on the day. Sakurai had a long ball in the seventh inning.
