Tamaru’s Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Pearl City Victory Over Waipahu

Pearl City took Sunday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 10-9 walk-off victory over Waipahu . The game was tied at nine with Pearl City batting in the bottom of the seventh when Wade Tamaru singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Waipahu scored five runs in the second inning, but Pearl City still managed to pull out the victory. Zach Kometani and Hunter Hirayama all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Waipahu fired up the offense in the first inning. Waipahu scored one run when Kometani doubled.
Pearl City knotted the game up at nine in the bottom of the sixth inning, when Joshua Lee singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Pearl City scored seven runs in the second inning. Chris Goya, Kip Masuda, Todd Takabuki, Jalen Ah Yat, and Lee each had RBIs in the big inning.
Allen Komori was credited with the victory for Pearl City . He lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and zero runs.
Chevas Numata took the loss for Waipahu . He surrendered two runs on five hits over four innings, striking out three.
Kulia Neal started the game for Pearl City . He surrendered nine runs on 13 hits over three and a third innings Ryne Miyamoto started the game for Waipahu . He went one and one-third innings, allowing six runs on three hits
Waipahu tallied two home runs on the day. Kometani had a dinger in the second inning. Poo Kaalekahi went deep in the fourth inning.
Pearl City tallied 11 hits in the game. Lee, Masuda, Tamaru, and Goya each managed multiple hits for Pearl City . Goya, Tamaru, Masuda, and Lee each collected two hits to lead Pearl City . Pearl City was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Tamaru had the most chances in the field with nine.
Waipahu racked up 15 hits in the game. Tiras Koon, Kaalekahi, Kometani, Revan Wong, and Numata each racked up multiple hits for Waipahu .
