Sheridan Takes A Tough Blow From Waipahu
- Sunday was a long day for Sheridan , falling to Waipahu 7-1.
- Waipahu got on the board in the second inning when Hunter Hirayama‘s sac fly scored one run for Waipahu .
- Sheridan knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the second inning. Doug Shimokawa singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
- Waipahu pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Dylan Salcedo singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Tyler Hanzawa singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
- David Torigoe was the winning pitcher for Waipahu . He went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits and striking out five.
- Eric Lum took the loss for Sheridan . He surrendered six runs on four hits over three and a third innings, striking out two.
- Sheridan tallied five hits. Lee Matsuzaki and Hunter Fujitani each had multiple hits for Sheridan . Fujitani and Matsuzaki each collected two hits to lead Sheridan .
